As a Senior Hardware Engineer, a typical day might include the following: Inventing, analyzing and designing complex and innovative analog and digital systems to meet specifications. Leading large projects of high technical complexity and participating in executive project review processes. Leading hardware design design reviews to demonstrate product and circuit robustness. Leading the development of hardware and system level specifications of products for highly complex applications. Writing and reviewing complex test plans, executing or supervising testing, evaluating and reviewing test results for use in peer reviews and for project notebooks. Providing mentorship and coaching to other engineers and technicians. Participating in industry technical meetings, seminars and conferences. Modeling, teaching and applying SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles. Embracing the mindset: Understand. Create. Simplify. This job might be for you if have: A B.S. and/or M.S. in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 10+ years of related of related engineering or management experience. Strong technical knowledge in one or more engineering disciplines/technologies. Demonstrated ability to design, produce and support successful products/processes. The ability to manage product line/process problems requiring creativity, ingenuity, and guidance from manager. Excellent leadership and mentorship skills and a strong desire to develop employees and lead projects. The ability to define general approaches and specific solutions to technical problems. Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills. The ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities. The ability to work cooperatively in a team environment. You may be a stronger fit for this job if you have: Familiarity with power utility practices. Strong project management knowledge and skills. Supervisory experience or training. We are open to candidates with more experience and the salary range may differ if filled at a different level.
