At Continuing Education of the Bar (CEB), we are dedicated to empowering California attorneys with innovative resources and practice-oriented tools that enhance their ability to serve clients effectively. Since our founding in 1947, we have remained committed to providing accessible, high-quality legal information, driven by the needs of the California legal community. As a not-for-profit program of the University of California, we prioritize delivering the best California-focused legal tools, all created in-state and in-house. The Legal Content & Outreach Specialist (LCOS) is a highly organized, project-driven professional who drives the creation of innovative legal content while building strong relationships across the legal community. In this role, you'll track California legal trends, pitch and shape new content ideas, recruit and guide attorneys and thought leaders, and ensure projects stay on schedule and meet CEB standards. As a brand ambassador, you'll conduct outreach and develop partnerships. The ideal candidate brings strong networking or sales-oriented experience, a deep understanding of California legal trends, and the initiative, adaptability, and organizational skills to drive high-quality, efficient content development. *UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Legal knowledge experience and in-depth knowledge of current legal statutes (Preferred) Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple content projects simultaneously, track timelines, and drive projects from concept through completion (Required) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with internal teams and external legal professionals (Required) Demonstrated ability to conduct outreach, pitch ideas, and recruit participants or partners, ideally in a sales, networking, or relationship-driven role (Required) Knowledge of California law and awareness of emerging legal trends, with the ability to identify timely and relevant topics for legal content (Required) Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, including the ability to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with internal and external standards (Required) Ability to guide and support subject matter experts in content development, including providing direction, feedback, and structure (Required) Proficiency with project management tools and willingness to adopt new technologies to improve workflow efficiency (including AI tools) (Required) Ability to portray confidence and professionalism in public-facing settings, including hosting, moderating, or appearing on video or live events (Preferred) Experience planning and executing webinars, CLE programs, or professional events (Preferred) Background in legal practice, legal education, or working within the legal industry (e.g., law firm, law school, or legal services organization) (Preferred) Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations
Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training (Required) Juris Doctor (JD) degree (Preferred) Paralegal certification (Preferred) Special Conditions for Employment
