Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Armed Driver Patrol in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol professional supporting a busy transit location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license and an armed guard card or license. Bring your experience to a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, with working environments and conditions that may vary by site.
- Serve in an armed patrol post while following assigned post orders, reporting procedures, and applicable guidelines for authorized equipment.
- Help to document and report security-related incidents, unusual activity, and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
