We are pleased to be recruiting an experienced Broker for our London-based EMEA treaty reinsurance team!

The successful candidate will have proven experience in the P&C treaty reinsurance market and have a strong command of technical, statistical and broking skills.

• Frequent engagement with colleagues across various Gallagher Re offices that cater to the EMEA market.
• Collaborating daily with the wider client team, including actuaries, Cat modellers, and servicing teams, to develop comprehensive client advice.
• Leading day-to-day account handling and developing initial ideas for structure, coverage, and marketing strategy.
• Reviewing data, statistics, and information packs to support the placement of clients' reinsurance programs, ensuring detailed marketing and broking.
• Supporting the creation of slips to ensure clients receive outstanding coverage.
• Coordinating analytics and servicing resources to nurture a sense of community within the client team.
• Leading tenders, structuring, and placement execution.
• Ensuring top-quality accounting and claims servicing.
• Bringing up issues to the Client Advocate and Advocate Partner as needed.
• Representing clients and Gallagher Re in the market.
• Handling and resolving queries from clients and reinsurers, including regular in-person engagement.
• Working on ad hoc projects, supporting strategy, conducting research, and producing reports/PowerPoint presentations.
• Contributing to RFPs and tenders to support the growth of Gallagher Re.

• A Chartered Insurance Institute qualification (Cert CII, Dip CII, ACII) is desired.
• Validated experience in handling treaty reinsurance business.
• Ability to discuss broader risk and capital management and regulatory issues affecting the (re)insurance industry, bringing ideas and solutions to clients.
• Strong negotiation skills and knowledge of the reinsurance marketplace.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
• Ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and markets.
• Highly orgainsed with excellent time management skills.
• Ability to prioritise different tasks and workloads.
• Eligible to work in the UK.
