A leading supplier in the residential and commercial building materials space is seeking a results-driven
Inside Sales Manager
to lead and mentor its internal sales team. This individual will play a key role in driving revenue, improving customer satisfaction, and aligning the team’s efforts with company growth goals. The ideal candidate will bring proven leadership experience in inside sales—ideally within lumber, millwork, or door/hardware distribution—and have a hands-on management style with a deep understanding of contractor relationships and supply chain flow.
Key Responsibilities: Lead, coach, and develop a team of inside sales representatives, providing ongoing support, training, and performance feedback. Oversee daily operations of the inside sales team to ensure customer inquiries, quotes, and orders are handled with speed and accuracy. Collaborate closely with outside sales, purchasing, operations, and logistics teams to ensure smooth order flow and customer satisfaction. Maintain and grow strong relationships with residential and commercial contractors, builders, and other key customers. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on sales trends, conversion rates, and team performance. Drive initiatives to improve process efficiency, CRM usage, and order accuracy. Handle escalated customer issues and ensure timely resolution. Participate in pricing strategy and margin management discussions to ensure profitable growth. Qualifications: 3–5+ years of experience in inside sales leadership, preferably in the building materials, lumber, or construction supply industry. Strong team leadership and people management skills. Solid product knowledge in lumber, doors, millwork, and related materials is strongly preferred. Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
