Job Title Production Supervisor Job Location Co. Clare Salary €45K - €55K BOE Role Overview: As a Production Supervisor you will manage and oversee daily operations in a manufacturing or production facility to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. You will also be responsible for managing the workflow, coordinating team members, and achieving production targets. The goal is to maximise production up-time while maintaining product quality and staff safety. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate the activities of production staff, directly or via Team Leaders. Resource planning and assigning tasks to team members holding them accountable for achievement. Ensure training and guidance to employees on processes and equipment is provided. Conduct performance evaluations and address employee concerns or issues. Proactively monitor production processes to ensure adherence to schedules and specifications. Implement and enforce quality control measures. Identify and troubleshoot operational issues to minimize downtime. Ensure production targets are met within allocated time and budget. Enforce workplace safety regulations and protocols. Conduct safety spot checks and ensure compliance with company policies. Maintain and analyse records of production, including output, efficiency, and quality metrics. Prepare reports for management on production progress, challenges and action plans. Collaborate with other departments, such as logistics and quality assurance, design and engineering to optimize operations. Essential Qualifications and Experience: Degree or equivalent in industrial engineering, manufacturing, or a related field (preferred). Certification in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies (a plus). Proven experience in a supervisory/production control role. Strong knowledge of production processes, equipment, and safety standards. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing issues.
