General Description
The Supervisor of Clinical Operations oversees and supports the day-to-day clinical and front-office operations of assigned health center(s). This role monitors workflow, ensures adequate supplies and functional equipment, and supports care team members in delivering efficient, high-quality patient care.
The Supervisor of Clinical Operations collaborates closely with the Office Manager and senior leadership on staffing, onboarding, performance management, and escalated operational matters. This position is responsible for maintaining smooth clinical operations, supporting patient flow, and promoting a positive, mission-driven work environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Provide frontline operational support to clinical staff, front desk staff, and care team members, including real-time education on processes and workflows
Manage daily clinical operations and workflow for assigned centers, serving as a key resource for the care team
Oversee onboarding, training, and assimilation of new care team members
Participate in hiring and partner with clinical leads and senior staff to develop onboarding plans
Manage daily performance, team dynamics, and employee engagement; address patient concerns and promote effective communication
Provide oversight of clinical operations and distribute daily work equitably; coordinate staffing coverage as needed
Engage care teams for feedback and identify opportunities for operational improvement
Audit clinical and operational procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance with organizational policies
Monitor patient flow and communicate disruptions to care team members to minimize delays
Demonstrate strong customer service skills when interacting with patients, families, and visitors
Contribute to the development and execution of goal-based operational projects
Promote community give-back initiatives and foster team engagement around Premier's mission
Adhere to patient care standards and Premier's core values to deliver a best-in-class patient experience
Drive departmental goals and participate in Quality Improvement / Quality Assurance (QI/QA) initiatives
Perform other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities
Direct supervision of clinical leads and office personnel, including daily oversight and performance management
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Basic understanding of healthcare administration and Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) operations
Demonstrated experience leading teams or operational projects
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Knowledge of practice management systems, EHRs (Epic preferred), and Microsoft Office applications
Ability to effectively communicate processes and expectations to care team members and patients
Approachable leadership style with compassion, empathy, and professionalism
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
High ethical standards, integrity, and commitment to confidentiality

Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required
Minimum two (2) years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in an outpatient or physician office environment
Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred
Ability to obtain and maintain Epic certification and annual compliance training
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
Ability to lift 20 lbs. regularly and 3050 lbs. occasionally
Ability to sit for extended periods
Ability to travel to all Premier sites for coverage, meetings, or operational support
Direct exposure to computer screens
Possible exposure to contagious or infectious diseases
Background Screening Requirement:
This position requires a Level 2 background screening through the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
