Randstad is partnering with a retail firm in Boston that is looking to hire a contract remote Oracle Database Administrator. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of Oracle database admin experience, including extensive knowledge of Oracle EBS. Responsibilities: Install and maintain the performance of database servers Develop processes for optimizing database security Set and maintain database standards Manage database access Performance tuning of database systems Install, upgrade, patching, and manage database applications Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree 10+ years of related work experience preferred Extensive knowledge and experience with DBMS (database management system) – Oracle (required) Extensive knowledge and experience with Oracle application (Required - EBS; Preferred - MOM) Familiarity with network protocols, Internet, and Intranet design/usage Knowledge of database theory Knowledge of database design General understanding of distributed computing architectures, e.g. Client/Server, Internet/Intranet, Enterprise General understanding of the underlying operating system, e.g.
