My client is looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join their organisation in Limerick. This is a permanent role. Responsibilities Maintain and improve security controls aligned with recognised frameworks such as Cyber Essentials Plus and ISO 27001. Manage and optimise Microsoft 365 and Azure security technologies including MFA, Intune, Defender, Sentinel, and Entra ID. Identify, investigate, and remediate security risks, vulnerabilities, and cyber incidents Support security audits, penetration testing activities, and compliance documentation requirements. Administer and support core IT platforms including Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure, and VMware environments. Contribute to wider IT operations, system improvements, and end-user support within a hands-on team environment. Key Skills and Experience 4-5 years' experience in IT with cybersecurity as a primary focus. Strong understanding of security frameworks and standards including ISO 27001, CIS, NIST, and Cyber Essentials Plus. Hands-on experience with firewalls, endpoint protection, patch management, identity and access management, and vulnerability remediation Practical knowledge of Microsoft security technologies including Defender, Sentinel, Intune, and Entra ID. Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements such as GDPR and NIS2 Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills with a practical, delivery-focused approach.
