Edge Integration Lead (TAK / ATAK) – Government & Defense
Location:
Remote, U.S. (travel required)
Salary:
$140,000–$170,000 + benefits + equity potential
A fast-scaling Earth intelligence company is expanding its government-facing team and is looking for an
Edge Integration Lead
to drive adoption of its tactical edge capabilities across defense and public sector environments.
This is a highly impactful, field-facing role sitting at the intersection of
operations, technical delivery, and customer engagement . You will work directly with end users in real-world environments, supporting deployments, shaping workflows, and feeding back into product and growth strategy.
If you have hands-on experience with
ATAK and the wider TAK ecosystem in operational settings , this is an opportunity to play a key role in scaling a platform that is transforming how satellite data is accessed and used.
The Opportunity You will act as a trusted field resource, supporting tactical users while helping position a broader Earth intelligence platform beyond just the TAK interface.
This Role Combines
Field deployment and operational support
Technical expertise across TAK and geospatial systems
Customer engagement and relationship building
Contribution to product evolution and integration strategy
What You’ll Be Doing
Deploy to customer environments to support ATAK-based solutions across exercises, demos, and live operations
Provide hands‑on onboarding, troubleshooting, and user support across defense and government stakeholders
Act as a subject matter expert across the TAK ecosystem including ATAK, WinTAK, iTAK, TAK Server, and Cursor on Target
Help configure and optimise TAK environments, including data flows, permissions, and device management
Translate operational feedback into structured insights to inform product and growth strategy
Support wider platform adoption by positioning TAK as an entry point into broader geospatial and analytics capabilities
Contribute to plugin development and integration improvements over time
Represent the business at key government and defense events
What We’re Looking For
Proven hands‑on experience using ATAK in real-world operational environments
Deep understanding of the TAK ecosystem, including architecture and workflows
Background in military, law enforcement, or government operations, with exposure to C2 and ISR environments
Strong customer‑facing experience, able to engage both operators and senior stakeholders
Active security clearance (minimum Secret)
Willingness to travel regularly, including CONUS and OCONUS
Preferred
Experience developing or modifying TAK plugins (Java/Android, C#/.NET)
Exposure to special operations or intelligence environments
Familiarity with geospatial formats such as GeoTIFF, KML, GeoJSON, or NITF
Understanding of satellite imagery and tasking workflows
