University Home Care Inc is seeking a compassionate and reliable In Home Assistant to provide personalized care and support to clients in Salem, MI. This role involves assisting clients with daily living activities to enhance their quality of life in the comfort of their own homes.

Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Help with mobility and transferring safely.
  • Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties including laundry and cleaning.
  • Administer prescribed medications under guidance.
  • Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities.
  • Monitor and report any changes in clients' health or behavior to supervisors.
  • Follow all safety and hygiene protocols to ensure a safe environment.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in home care or related field is an advantage, but NOT required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately.
  • Reliable, trustworthy, and dedicated to client well-being is a MUST.
  • Basic knowledge of safety and infection control practices.
  • Ability to pass background checks.
  • Valid driver's license or state ID is required for this position.
  • Reliable transportation is a plus.
