We are seeking highly skilled Technical Designers to join our team. This role involves supporting on-site operations at our locations in Washington. The successful candidate will apply fundamental drafting principles and design concepts to address product and process issues in real-time. This is an expert-level position that requires a strong understanding of design, drafting, and engineering principles. Required Skills & Qualifications
Associate degree or equivalent experience in drafting classification Basic understanding and usage of computer-aided design Basic understanding of design product structure (details, parts, assemblies, installations) Understanding of machining of metallic parts 9 years of experience working with aerospace design, including experience with detail and assembly parts CATIA or equivalent solid modeling experience Integrated Visualization Tool (IVT) use and experience Must have previous client experience working for this customer in the past 5 years Preferred Skills & Qualifications
Problem-solving skills Investigative skills Multi-tasking skills Project management experience working with projects at various stages and coordinating with multiple organizations Experience working in lab environments Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Provide materials and process support to commercial airplane programs and systems design teams throughout the full life cycle of the airplane Review electrical component materials and process specifications and other engineering documents Identify impacts of non-conformances and develop corrective/preventative actions Conduct engineering lab/failure analysis to determine cause and corrective action of failed electrical components Lead or collaborate with multiple engineering teams to solve a variety of materials and process challenges Produce requirements, specifications, and other documents to manage the deployment of tools, equipment, materials, parts, and processes Company Benefits & Culture
