Role Overview: This role provides technical leadership for the organization’s database infrastructure, setting strategic direction for maintenance, standards, lifecycle management, and system design. It drives the evaluation and implementation of high-impact, scalable, and cost-effective database solutions across complex environments, ensuring long-term performance and reliability. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams and headquarters to deliver innovative, enterprise-grade solutions while overseeing both operational support and project execution for database and SAP-related systems. Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, implementation, and lifecycle management of database infrastructure, ensuring scalability, performance, and alignment with enterprise standards. Administer and support SAP ECC, BW, and Portal systems, including database operations, security administration, and basic Unix system management. Install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot Oracle and SQL databases across Unix/Linux/Windows platforms, proactively identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks. Develop and maintain SQL queries, Unix shell scripts, and operational documentation to support system reliability and efficiency. Manage a portfolio of projects and initiatives from requirements through delivery, including stakeholder engagement, documentation, and leading cross-functional project meetings.
Basic Qualifications 10+ years of hands-on experience managing large-scale Oracle and SQL Server database environments in enterprise settings Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions Proven ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work assignments while delivering projects on time Ability to follow and execute both written and verbal technical instructions accurately Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively within team environments Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage positively with internal stakeholders and external customers
Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification Experience with SAP MaxDB Demonstrated ability to contribute in complex, cross-functional technical environments
Salary range: $90,000 - $130,000
