About
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in executing the established Digital Roadmap, the focus is on steady-state delivery, keeping projects on track across internal teams and external partners, and ensuring digital services are user-centred, accessible, and integrated within the wider digital ecosystem. This role combines pragmatic product delivery, hands-on delivery coordination, and people leadership. You will be responsible for maintaining a user-centred, data-informed approach to product development while embedding agile practices across the organisation.
Job Details
* Product Manager (12-month FTC / Maternity Cover)
* Salary - up to £46k
* Location - Edinburgh
* Work conditions - Hybrid with one day onsite, sometimes more onsite required for important meetings etc (32.5 hour week over 5 days)
* Pension scheme & Life Assurance (plus more benefits)
* 36 days holiday (inclusive of public holidays), this increases with length of service
* *Must have Right to Work in the UK as sponsorship isn't available for this role*
Candidate Requirements
* Proven experience leading digital product or service development projects
* Experience managing supplier relationships and digital delivery partnerships
* Background in user-centered design, research, or service co-production
* Experience integrating digital systems such as CRM, CMS, LMS and data platforms
* Track record of improving organisational digital capability and culture
* Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences
* Skilled in agile delivery, product road mapping, and backlog management
* Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation abilities
* Competent in using data and analytics for decision-making and improvement
* Deep understanding of accessibility, usability and digital inclusion principles
* Knowledge of Dynamics 365 desired but not essential
Education & Qualifications
* Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g. Digital Product Management, Service Design, Computer Science, or related discipline)
* Professional certification or training in Agile Project Management, Product Ownership, or Service Design (desirable)
Candidate Responsibilities
* Define and communicate a clear product vision and roadmap aligned with organisational priorities. Roadmap maintained and reviewed quarterly.
* Ensure all digital products integrate effectively with CRM, data, content, and analytics platforms. Compliance with digital architecture, data protection, and accessibility standards.
* Coordinate digital product sprints, releases, and milestones in partnership with external suppliers and internal stakeholders. Delivery deadlines and milestones achieved on time and within scope.
* Define, monitor, and report on product success metrics such as engagement, reach, and efficiency. Regular insights and reports shared with leadership.
* Lead user research, co-design sessions, and testing activities to ensure digital products meet user needs and accessibility standards. User feedback incorporated into development cycles.
* Act as the bridge between the organisation, service users, and delivery partners, ensuring clear communication and alignment of priorities.
* Champion agile and user-centred working practices across the organisation to strengthen digital maturity and capability.
* Ensure digital products deliver measurable value for organisations’ beneficiaries, partners, and supporters by understanding their needs and translating them into actionable product priorities.
* Provide clear direction, coaching, and support to two team members. Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture, encouraging professional growth and shared ownership of outcomes. Regular 1:1s, objectives set and reviewed, and strong colleague engagement reflected in feedback.
