Position Overview: We are seeking a compassionate, dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with QMAP certification to join our healthcare team within a correctional setting. This position provides essential direct care services, supports medication administration, and promotes the overall health, safety, and well-being of incarcerated individuals.
This role requires professionalism, strong ethical standards, and the ability to work effectively in a structured environment within a correctional facility environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesDirect Care & Clinical Support
- Obtain and record vital signs accurately.
- Observe and report changes in physical, emotional, or behavioral condition to nursing staff.
- Assist with intake screenings, transfers, and discharge preparation as directed.
- Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records.
Medication Administration (QMAP Duties)
- Administer medications as delegated by licensed nursing staff in accordance with state regulations.
- Maintain accurate medication administration records (MAR).
- Monitor for medication side effects and promptly report concerns.
- Ensure secure storage and accountability of medications.
Safety & Security Awareness
- Maintain situational awareness and adhere to all facility safety and security protocols.
- De-escalate situations professionally using communication and approved intervention techniques.
- Conduct routine environmental rounds to promote cleanliness and safety.
- Respond appropriately to medical emergencies.
Infection Control & Compliance
- Follow infection prevention and control procedures.
- Adhere to all regulatory standards, policies, and confidentiality requirements
