Account Executive

The Account Executive will manage the men's sportswear business across department and specialty stores, acting as a key business owner responsible for driving growth and profitability. This role will focus on scaling the specialty store channel while establishing and strengthening department store partnerships. The position combines strategic planning, sales analysis, and negotiation with day-to-day operational execution.

Responsibilities
  • Develop seasonal business strategies and deliver against internal sales and margin targets in partnership with sales leadership
  • Own budgeting and forecasting for assigned accounts, ensuring a high level of accuracy
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive order files and account records
  • Analyze sales performance and provide regular reporting and insights to internal stakeholders
  • Manage all aspects of the business, including performance communication and execution of growth strategies
  • Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships across merchandising, marketing, design, planning, logistics, and customer service
  • Partner with planning and merchandising teams to develop account assortments aligned with business goals
  • Drive specialty store outreach, prospecting, and account development
  • Coordinate and execute participation in key trade shows, including Chicago Collective (twice annually)
  • Travel to regional markets with a focus on expanding specialty store presence
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3+ years of Account Executive experience, preferably within specialty stores and premium/better retail channels
  • Knowledge of men's sportswear and tailored clothing strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in retail math and forecasting
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven track record of driving profitable and measurable business growth
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with NuOrder is a plus
  • Ability to travel to regional markets, with travel expectations 50%+
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular and timely attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state and local standards and Company's policy.
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for up to 8 hours per day
  • Ability to constantly operate a computer, other office equipment and look at a monitor for up to 8 hours per day
  • Ability to clearly and accurately communicate and exchange information verbally, in writing, or through other means in person, telephonically, or through virtual communication methods
  • Ability to position self to reach at or below shoulder level
  • Ability to carry equipment, move boxes/samples, mannequins, etc.
