Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Technical Manager High Voltage to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary infrastructure projects within the high-voltage energy sector. The role focuses on the successful delivery of technically complex projects ranging from design through to realization within high-voltage grid environments (110–380 kV).
Depending on experience and expertise, the successful candidate will operate as either a Technical Manager or Project Manager within integrated project teams, contributing to major energy transition and infrastructure initiatives.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject & Technical Management
• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams across:
• Primary systems
• Secondary systems
• Civil and structural engineering
• Telecom
• Cable systems
• Lines and masts
• BIM and GIS disciplines
• Translate project goals into technical requirements, parameters, and design criteria
• Monitor technical integration and interfaces between disciplines
• Ensure project delivery in line with planning, scope, budget, quality, and safety requirements
Engineering & Systems Integration
• Apply Systems Engineering methodologies within projects
• Assess design solutions for:
• Feasibility
• Manufacturability
• Risk management
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and customer standards
• Promote Safety by Design principles throughout the project lifecycle
Stakeholder & Contractor Management
• Maintain active communication with clients, engineers, suppliers, and project stakeholders
• Select, coordinate, and manage contractors and suppliers
• Support integrated collaboration within project teams using structured project methodologies
Leadership & Delivery
• Provide leadership within multidisciplinary teams
• Ensure high-quality technical project outcomes
• Support efficient project execution and decision-making
• Contribute to innovative and future-focused energy infrastructure projects
Required Skills & Experience
• Completed HBO or WO degree in:
• Electrical Engineering
• Energy Technology
• Or a related technical discipline
• 5–10 years of experience in:
• High-voltage installations
• Technical infrastructure projects
• Design, realization, or project management activities
• Strong knowledge of:
• High-voltage substations
• Transformers
• GIS installations
• Cable connections
• Experience with project methodologies and contract structures such as:
• IPM
• UAV-gc
• Prince2
• PMP
• Familiarity with standards and regulations including:
• NEN-EN-IEC 61936
• NEN 3840
• NEN 3140
• Experience applying Systems Engineering principles
