This vision is supported by our core values of Collaboration, Innovation, Diversity and Inclusion, Integrity, and Accountability./ph3Job Requirements:/h3pEducation/pulliHigh School Diploma required/liliGraduate of a Medical Assisting Program preferred/li/ulpExperience/pulliMedical Assistant experience preferred/liliFront desk or patient registration experience preferred/liliBLS certification required at time of hire (American Red Cross or American Heart Association)/li/ulpCertification / Equivalent Experience/ppCandidates with less than one year of Medical Assistant experience must hold one of the following certifications:/pulliCCMA Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (NHA)/liliCMA Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA)/liliRMA Registered Medical Assistant (AMT)/liliNCMA National Certified Medical Assistant (NCCT)/liliNRCMA Nationally Registered Medical Assistant (NAHP)/li/ulpIn lieu of a Medical Assistant certification, we will also accept:/pulli1+ years of Medical Assistant experience in a hospital or urgent care setting/lili1+ years of phlebotomy experience/liliGraduate of an accredited nursing program (LPN or RN)/liliEMT Emergency Medical Technician/liliParamedic/liliCNA Certified Nursing Assistant/li/ulp***Candidates without an MA certification must obtain one within 15 months of hire***/ppCPOE certification for order entry is required within two weeks of start date./ph3Essential Responsibilities/h3ulliRegister patients and verify insurance and documentation/liliSchedule appointments and process co-pays/liliPrepare patients for examination and record medical history/liliPerform vital signs and preliminary patient assessments/liliConduct point-of-care testing (flu, strep, urinalysis, ECG, HCG)/liliAssist providers with patient care and procedures/liliMaintain exam rooms, supplies, and medical records/liliAnswer patient questions and coordinate referrals/liliPerform opening/closing duties and maintain equipment quality checks/liliSupport a safe, organized, and patient-centered clinical environment/liliAll other duties as assigned./li/ulpNote: This job description is not inclusive of all the duties of the position.
