Additionally, we also work closely with a Certified Nursing Assistant school. You make a great first impression as you are professional and kind in your demeanor and approach./ppYou dont mind getting a little dirty this could include (but is not limited to) assisting the patient with activities of daily living such as providing assistance with personal hygiene (toileting, bathing, care of mouth, skin and hair), ambulation, eating, dressing, shaving, light housekeeping, and other household chores./ppYou dont have to be a gourmet chef, but you can prepare a good meal and work your way around a kitchen./ppYou are able to perform other assigned activities which are taught by a nurse, for a specific patient, which includes but is not limited to:/pulliAssisting with the change of ostomy appliances/liliReinforcement of dressings (non-sterile)/liliAssisting with the use of devices for aid in daily living (cane, walker, wheelchair or lift device)/liliAssisting with prescribed range of motion exercises/liliAssisting with self-administered simple urine tests for sugar acetone or albumin (may not interpret results)/liliMeasuring and preparing special diets/liliMeasuring intake and output/liliTaking vital signs (temperature, pulse, respirations and blood pressure)/liliApplication of an external (condom-type) catheter/liliAssisting with application of arm sling, arm splint or leg splint/li/ulpMust Haves:/pulliHigh school degree and/or a G.E.D. certificate/liliSix months experience as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) in health care (in homes or facilities) and successful completion of a State approved Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) course/liliThe Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) shall have successfully completed a Competency Evaluation that meets the State licensing law for home health agencies/liliMust have a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick, and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job/liliCurrent CPR Certificate is recommended/liliMeets the requirements for employees providing direct patient care/liliRead, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job/liliHave a valid drivers license and use of an insured automobile for work or access to adequate transportation/li/ulpWhy Right at Home?/ppWe truly believe that where you work matters, and as a company that believes in improving the lives of those we serve, we think we know a thing or two about what makes our employees happy./ppHere is what our employees say about us:/ppIts wonderful to work for a company that treats their employees with the same care and respect they want us to provide to clients. - Linda/ppI know Im never alone!
