IBJI wants to help our patients move better, so they can live better./ph3Responsibilities/h3ulliCarries out treatment plans established by the physical therapist including progression of patient to attain functional goals as deemed appropriate by patient status and normal progression./liliProvide exceptional care for patients in an outpatient orthopedic clinical setting./liliWritten documentation on patient status per compliance guidelines of IBJI Rehab./liliPeriodic written communication to physicians through progress notes and discharges after consulting with the supervising PT regarding assessment and plan, and co-signed by PT/liliFrequent communication with supervising PT regarding appropriate patient progression, discharge and patient follow up./liliSupervising rehabilitation technicians with patient care and administrative staff as needed./liliCompliance with daily paperwork which includes documenting all treatment in patient charts in a timely manner (daily notes, progress notes, discharges, HEP, etc)./liliStays current with billing policies and demonstrates ethical billing practices./liliMaintains active state license by earning appropriate CEUs through outside courses and IBJI sponsored educational opportunities./liliDevelops positive relationships with physical therapists and physician teams at IBJI./liliTakes an active role in the patient medical team by facilitating relationships with PTs, MDs and case managers as appropriately directed by supervising PT./liliParticipates in IBJI sponsored programs including mentoring, clinical educator, special interest groups, community outreach, etc./li/ulh3Requirements/h3ulliGraduate from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program./liliHolds current license to practice in Illinois./liliAbility to work in a fast paced environment./liliCommunicate effectively in writing and verbally./liliCurrent CPR certification./liliAbility to lift greater than 25 pounds/liliDemonstrates good understanding of proper body mechanics for lifting, pulling, pushing/liliAbility to be stand and sit for sequences of time greater than 30 minutes/liliAbility to work on a computer for lengthy times during the day/li/ulpBase salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills and relevant experience.
