HR Generalist Contract: 1 year (35 hours per week) Location: Cork City (hybrid working model 2 days onsite 3 days offsite) About the Organisation Our client is a large national organisation with a large human resources team working across the Isle of Ireland. The Opportunity This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join a high-performing team. As an HR Generalist, you will play a key role in supporting business leaders to deliver their objectives through effective people strategies. Working closely with senior HR colleagues, youll provide expert support across the full employee lifecycle while gaining exposure to strategic HR business partnering. Key Responsibilities Act as the first point of contact for assigned business functions, providing HR support across areas including talent management, organisational design, succession planning, performance management, employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, learning & development, and exit processes. Work closely with Senior HR Business Partners to implement HR strategy and policies at a local level, ensuring alignment with business needs. Partner with managers to understand workforce planning, headcount requirements, and skills development. Develop strong relationships across the business and act as a trusted advisor on HR matters, ensuring fairness, consistency, and best practice. Prepare and deliver people-related reports and insights to inform decision-making. Support organisational change and development initiatives, ensuring smooth implementation and adoption. Collaborate with HSQE and other functions on occupational health and wellbeing initiatives. Contribute to employee engagement by monitoring sentiment and supporting early intervention where required. Continuously identify opportunities to improve HR processes, practices, and ways of working. What Were Looking For 35 years generalist HR experience across multiple areas of the employee lifecycle. A relevant third-level qualification; CIPD membership is desirable. Strong knowledge of Irish employment law (advantageous). Excellent relationship-building and influencing skills, with the ability to act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders at all levels. Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with a solutions-focused mindset. Experience supporting organisational change and business transformation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience within a large, regulated, or complex organisation would be a distinct advantage. Why Apply?
