About
We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Level 2 or Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our friendly early years team at Heathland's Community Pre-school. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young children’s learning and development within a warm, nurturing and stimulating environment.
The successful candidate will work as part of a team to provide high-quality care and education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the planning and delivery of engaging activities in line with the EYFS curriculum
- Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment for all children
- Build positive relationships with children, parents/carers and colleagues
- Observe, assess and record children’s progress and development
- Support children’s personal, social and emotional development
- Ensure safeguarding and welfare requirements are always met
- Promote good behaviour and positive interactions
- Assist with daily routines including mealtimes, toileting and sleep routines
- Maintain accurate records and follow nursery policies and procedures
- Work effectively as part of a team and contribute positively to the nursery environment
Requirements
Essential:
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare
- Good understanding of the EYFS framework
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A caring, patient and positive attitude
- Ability to work using own initiative
Desirable:
- Previous nursery or early years experience
- Paediatric First Aid qualification
- Food Hygiene certificate
