divh2Restorative Nursing Aide at Willow Crossing in Columbus, IN/h2pThe Restorative Nurse Aide performs restorative nursing duties as directed and documents resident response./ppThe Restorative Nurse Aide is responsible to the Rehab Manager./ppQualifications:/pulliHigh School diploma or its equivalent preferred./liliHas successfully completed the Certified Nursing Assistant course./liliPrefer some experience in restorative nursing and familiarity with the general principles of rehabilitation./liliMust possess health certificate/examination as required by State agencies./li/ulpStandards:/pulliShould demonstrate patience, tact in dealing with residents, families, visitors and employees./liliMust display good emotional health and is capable of much standing, stopping, bending and heavy lifting./liliCapable of following instructions./liliAbility to move throughout most of the working day and perform repetitive lifting and movement of residents./liliAbility to communicate orally and in written form./liliWillingness to work with realization that errors may have serious consequences for residents./liliWillingness to perform a variety of simple repetitive tasks./liliAbility to work under minimal supervision and to cooperate with other staff./liliWilling to work as a Certified Nursing Assistant if needed./li/ulpEssential Job Functions:/pulliResponsible for all job duties listed under Certified Nursing Assistant job description if needed. (Please refer to Job Description for Certified Nursing Assistant). In the event of staffing emergencies as determined by the Regional Manager./liliPerforms range of motion for upper and lower extremities on designated residents per plan of care./liliAmbulates designated residents with walker or cane (of some type) per plan of care./liliPerforms transfers of designated residents per plan of care./liliAssists with feeding/dining room organization./liliEncourages mild geriatric exercises individually or in a group setting./liliFollows recommendations as given by therapists to preserve/enhance residents functional ability./liliParticipates in ensuring splinting devices are being applied as per physicians order./liliRecord keeping/documentation to include: residents specific program, dates of services performed, who performed the services, length of services (i.e., specific number of minutes), resident response to services./li/ulpOther Job Functions:/pulliAssist with activities of daily living (i.e., personal hygiene, dressing and bathing) for designated residents as per plan of care/Restorative Programs./liliPerform other duties as assigned by Rehab Manager./li/ulpPhysical and Sensory Requirements:/pulliAbility to read and write in English, ability to communicate with residents, families, personnel and support agencies and ability to remain calm under stress./liliBending, lifting, walking, grasping, fine hand coordination, ability to distinguish smells, tastes and temperatures, ability to hear and respond to pages./li/ulpMust be fully vaccinated against Covid-19, or have a Medical or Religious Exemption approved to be employed by Indiana Fitness Works./pp*FULL TIME employees may be eligible for benefits.
