Requirements: Bachelors degree in a relevant field with over 5 years of experience, or a comparable mix of education and experience. Strong expertise in modeling and simulating complex systems. Proven experience in conducting vulnerability assessments and system decomposition. Demonstrated capability to lead technical conversations and convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and teamwork abilities. Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) methodologies is desirable. Familiarity with SysML diagramming tools (e.g., Cameo Systems Modeler, IBM Rhapsody) is a plus. Knowledge of DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and/or Unified Architectural Framework (UAF) is beneficial. Experience with embedded systems, microelectronics, FPGA, or circuit card design is a plus. Proficiency in programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, C++, or other object-oriented languages. Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) projects. Active Top-Secret Clearance is preferred.
Responsibilities: Perform component-level vulnerability assessments of flight control systems, GPUs, edge compute hardware, and communication infrastructure. Identify and assess supply chain risks and potential cyber vulnerabilities in both hardware and software components. Assist in the integration of automated software tools and digital thread procedures for secure configuration management and traceability. Develop and maintain digital twin libraries for assessed systems, concentrating on cyber architecture and risk management. Create risk matrices and vulnerability reports detailing severity and likelihood ratings, providing recommendations for mitigation strategies or alternative sourcing. Conduct thorough Program Protection Analysis (PPA) to uncover and reduce risks associated with system vulnerabilities and adversarial threats. Formulate protection strategies for critical program information (CPI) and support the implementation of security engineering across design, integration, and testing phases. Execute threat identification and criticality assessments for cyber threats and supply chain anomalies. Recommend and implement countermeasures and mitigation strategies to bolster system resilience against exploitation and reverse engineering. Prepare and present program protection plans, threat matrices, and attack surface analyses for various stakeholders. Provide guidance on design alterations and protective measures to ensure lifecycle security and compliance with governmental standards.
