About
Manager of Financial Analysis
to serve as a key architect of our financial strategy. This is a "hands-on" role designed for a professional who excels at deconstructing a restaurant focused P&L while maintaining a firm grasp on the big picture. You will work directly with the Senior Director of Analytics, and cross-functionally with marketing, sales, purchasing and finance, not only to support their needs, but also make suggestions for improvement. You will help marketing prove if our paid search is working and help make it better. This role is intended for someone curious who is excited to innovate new ways of looking at the data. We currently have several departments using AI platforms like Claude Code to streamline their daily responsibilities. We are looking for a builder, someone who is energized by wearing many hats, navigating ambiguity, and replacing manual processes with scalable, automated systems. If this excites you, then you will thrive in our “start-up” minded environment. This is not a traditional FP&A role. If your idea of a great week is perfecting last month's variance report, this probably isn't the right fit. We are company that loves data. We understand that the right analysis at the right time can change our performance and what is possible tomorrow. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Infrastructure & Tool Building:
Support the design and implementation of new financial systems. You won’t just use the tools; you will help build the toolbox as we scale the brand. AI Optimization:
You will use programs like Claude code to add analysis to our datasets. You will use AI as a tool to help automate and streamline data at a pace not possible a few years ago. You understand that no analysis is perfect and know what Clause assumed, what is got wrong and how to work with it to make it better. Traditional Systems:
Proactively integrate Business Intelligence (BI) tools into daily workflows—optimizing data cleansing and trend summaries to drive departmental efficiency. You have fluency in VBA, SQL or traditional coding languages. Technology feels comfortable. Weekly Performance Reporting:
Own the end-to-end weekly reporting cycle. Analyze site-level performance across all locations, providing critical visibility into variances in labor, COGS, and controllable expenses. Dynamic Modeling & Underwriting:
Create sophisticated "what-if" models for menu engineering, labor optimization, and
new unit underwriting
for our aggressive expansion. Strategic Cross-Functional Partnership:
Act as the financial "source of truth" for Marketing, Operations, HR, Purchasing, and Development, providing the insights needed for high-stakes decision-making. Accounting Synergy:
Partner closely with the Accounting team to ensure month-end close accuracy, bridging the gap between "what happened" and "why it happened." QUALIFICATIONS Experience: 2–4 years in finance, analytics, consulting, investment banking or or a non-traditional background where you've had to figure things out without a playbook. If you have experience in a Restaurants, Hospitality or Retail company that is a plus. Curious. You are incapable of seeing something that does not make sense and moving on. You have to know why and how to fix it. Technical Mastery: Yes, you need advanced excel skills (Power Query, complex modeling), but you need to be constantly improving on your ability. How can I change what I am doing to make it more efficient, smarter, cleaner. How can I automate this so the technology works for me? The "Builder" Mindset: Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced environments where processes are fluid and creating new workflows is a daily expectation. Core Finance Strength: Strong working knowledge of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow). Organizational Prowess: Exceptional skills in managing rigorous weekly deadlines and multi-departmental projects simultaneously. PREFERRED SOFTWARE EXPERIENCE – FAMILIARTY WITH ANY OF THE FOLLOWING Industry Specific: Restaurant 365 (R365) or similar restaurant ERPs. Business Intelligence: Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools. EPM/Planning Software: Planful, Vena, TM1, or Workday Adaptive. AI Proficiency: Experience using Claude Code, other AI chatbots in conjunction with LLMs or specialized plugins for data analysis and process automation. Note: The above job description is a general overview of the responsibilities and qualifications typically associated with the role of an FP&A Manager. Actual job descriptions may vary depending on the organization's specific requirements and industry.
