*Key Responsibilities*
*Leadership & Supervision*
* Supervise and support clinical staff including Medical Assistants and LPNs
* Provide real-time guidance on clinical workflows, patient care standards, and protocols
* Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training of new clinical staff
* Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching, feedback, and corrective action when needed
* Foster a positive team culture and promote accountability and teamwork
*Clinical Operations*
* Oversee daily clinic flow to ensure efficient patient throughput
* Support providers with clinical needs, procedures, and patient care coordination
* Ensure proper rooming, documentation, and preparation for procedures
* Monitor clinical workflows and identify opportunities for improvement
* Assist with urgent or complex patient care situations as needed
*Pre-Procedure Responsibilities*
* Ensure patients are properly prepared for procedures, including:
* Verification of patient identity, consent forms, and procedure details
* Review of medical history, allergies, medications, and contraindications
* Confirmation of pre-procedure instructions compliance (e.g., NPO status, medication holds)
* Supervise staff in accurate and timely rooming, vitals, and documentation
* Verify that all necessary equipment, supplies, and medications are available and prepared
* Ensure provider preference cards and procedural protocols are followed
* Address any gaps or concerns prior to procedure start to avoid delays
*Intra-Procedure Support (Optional but recommended for your setting)*
* Provide support and oversight during procedures as needed
* Ensure adherence to sterile technique and safety protocols
* Assist with troubleshooting workflow or clinical issues during procedures
*Post-Procedure Responsibilities*
* Ensure appropriate patient recovery and monitoring:
* Vital signs, pain assessment, and clinical stability
* Confirm completion and accuracy of post-procedure documentation
* Supervise discharge process, including:
* Review of discharge instructions and patient education
* Medication reconciliation and follow-up plans
* Address complications or patient concerns promptly and appropriately
* Ensure proper room turnover, cleaning, and readiness for next patient
*Quality & Compliance*
* Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
* Monitor documentation accuracy and completion in the EMR
* Support implementation of new policies, workflows, and quality initiatives
* Maintain infection control and patient safety standards
*Training & Development*
* Train staff on clinical procedures, workflows, and best practices
* Support skill development, cross-training, and competency validation
* Lead or participate in clinical education sessions and team huddles
*Administrative & Operational Support*
* Assist with scheduling, staffing coverage, and resource allocation
* Collaborate with leadership on process improvement initiatives
* Track and support key performance indicators (KPIs) related to clinical operations
* Maintain supplies, equipment readiness, and procedure support
*Qualifications:*
* Active LPN license in the state of [Insert State]
* Minimum 2–3 years of clinical experience (preferably in ambulatory or specialty care)
* Previous leadership, charge nurse, or supervisory experience preferred
* Strong understanding of clinical workflows and patient care coordination
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
*Preferred Qualifications:*
* Experience in interventional pain, orthopedics, or procedural-based settings
* Experience supervising Medical Assistants or clinical teams
* Familiarity with EMR systems (e.g., Athena, Epic, etc.)
