Job Summary Are you a seasoned cloud optimization architect that has hands-on experience optimizing for cost across compute, database, storage, and network in the AWS cloud in a production environment where you are responsible for outcomes? How would you like the opportunity to become a technical and product leader in our relentless pursuit of delivering features to the market that make it easy for engineers to take action? This is an SME position that simultaneously wears hats in engineering, R&D, and product. You’ll be supported by a fully staffed squad of developers, data scientists, designers, and test engineers. Key Responsibilities Prioritize and develop new opportunities to optimize cost for EC2, RDS, S3, EBS, and more. Work with the data science team to collect metrics and metadata required to make precise and actionable optimization recommendations. Work with the design team to ensure that the features are consumable, actionable, and backed by data. Work with the engineering team to develop features and automation that make it easy for engineers to take action. Work with the marketing team to announce, describe, and drive thoughtful content around the features that you develop. Be an all-around technical leader, thought leader, and SME in this space. About the Candidate: Required Qualifications 5+ years in a hands-on role managing cloud infrastructure for a later-stage start-up or enterprise SaaS offering. Proven experience optimizing for cost in across EC2, EKS, RDS, S3, EBS, and other interesting services. Technical leadership qualities and experience. Strong systems-engineering experience. Experience with agile development teams. AWS certifications or areas of subject matter expertise. Bonus: Experience with data warehouse, data lake, and modern data analytics stacks.
