Mechanical Estimator - HVAC Systems Location: Greater Dublin Area (Hybrid Working Available) Salary: Up to €60,000 + Pension + Bonus + Benefits A leading HVAC systems contractor in the Greater Dublin area is seeking a motivated Mechanical Estimator to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with 1-3 years' estimating experience, or for qualified mechanical engineers looking to transition into an estimating role. The Role You will be involved in preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a wide range of projects, working closely with senior estimators, project managers, and the wider engineering team. Projects span large-scale industrial, commercial, and residential developments, offering strong exposure and career progression. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for HVAC/mechanical projects Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations Support bid strategy and value engineering exercises Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate project costing Assist in maintaining a database of costs and historical pricing Requirements 1-3 years' experience in an estimating role or a degree-qualified mechanical engineer looking to move into estimating Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills Good understanding of mechanical/HVAC systems (advantageous) Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with estimating software is beneficial Excellent communication and teamwork skills
