Anticipated Start Date: 06/15/2026 Salary
Salary Range: $123,750 - $175,000 Position Summary
This is a full-time, remote position. Employees may work from anywhere within the contiguous 48 states of the United States. Travel is up to 20%; employees will be required to occasionally travel to our corporate headquarters in Fort Worth, TX for in‑person meetings. Travel expenses for business needs will be covered by BNSF. The position is open to candidates who are currently authorized to work in the United States. We are also open to sponsoring H‑1B transfers, TN non‑immigrant status, and STEM OPT candidates with at least two years of remaining eligibility. As part of our Enterprise Engineering team, you will empower the workforce with cutting‑edge collaboration tools and services, supporting reliable systems for Finance, HR, Legal, and more. SAP Full Stack Development:
Design, develop, and maintain SAP Fiori/UI5 applications and reusable components. Build backend solutions using ABAP (CDS views, AMDP, OData services, RAP). Develop and support integrations using SAP Integration Suite, PO/PI, CPI. Participate in full software development lifecycle and agile practices. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Functional Analysts, BASIS, Security, Integration). Ensure compliance with SAP security standards and data protection policies. Stay current with SAP innovations (BTP, Build, Workzone, Joule). Support mentoring, code reviews, and architectural decisions. Participate in S/4HANA implementations and custom code migration to SAP BTP. SAP Infrastructure Engineering:
Lead design, deployment, and optimization of SAP systems (S/4HANA, HANA, MaxDB, MS SQL Server) across on‑prem and cloud (AWS, Azure). Architect scalable, high‑availability, cost‑effective SAP cloud solutions. Define and enforce SAP security architecture (RBAC, SoD, encryption, IAS/SSO, GRC). Oversee audits, compliance reporting, and security‑related projects. Integrate SAP and third‑party systems using SAP BTP, Integration Suite, API Management, Analytics Cloud. Automate SAP landscape provisioning and CI/CD pipelines (Terraform, Ansible, LAMA). Implement monitoring solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, SAP Cloud ALM, Onapsis, Layer Seven). Manage SAP databases and real‑time replication (SLT, DataSphere, Data Services, Data Intelligence). Own SAP change and release lifecycle (transport management, CTS+, emergency change handling). SAP FI, Sourcing & HR Tech (Functional):
Configure and support SAP modules: FICO, SD, MM, HCM (HR, Payroll/Benefits & Timekeeping), SuccessFactors. Lead month‑end/year‑end closing, reporting, and compliance activities. Design workflows for revenue event approvals, deviation management, cost approvals, customer onboarding. Manage asset‑heavy operational models, long‑term contracts, freight/leasing revenue cycles, regulatory reporting. Design revenue recognition models (RAR Implementation, S/Billing to RAR Integration). Configure and support Procurement, Inventory, Vendor Management, and integration with Coupa, Apttus, Ariba. Configure and support SAP Payroll (US schemas/rules), Timekeeping, and Benefits. Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize sourcing, procurement, and HR processes. Support cross‑module integration and third‑party recruiting/payroll platforms. Lead workshops, training sessions, and stakeholder engagements. Basic Qualifications
Authorized to work in the US. Minimum of 3 years' experience in SAP development, infrastructure, or functional modules. Proficiency in SAPUI5, ABAP, BW, OData/REST, SAP development tools, SAP Integration Suite, PO/PI, CPI as applicable for role. Expertise in SAP systems (S/4HANA, HANA, MaxDB), BTP, Integration Suite, SAP security, SAP GRC as applicable for role. Proven ability to configure and support SAP modules aligned to business processes in Finance, Supply Chain, and HR as applicable for role. Experience with cross‑module integration and third‑party platforms. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Certifications in SAP (Fiori/UI5, ABAP, BTP, Integration Suite, HANA), AWS, GRC as applicable for role. Experience with S/4HANA implementations, custom code migration to BTP, ECC to S/4HANA migrations as applicable for role. Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), Agile methodologies, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible), CI/CD as applicable for role. Experience with SAP Document Management, Analytics Cloud, event‑driven architectures as applicable for role. Experience in regulated environments or industries with compliance requirements. Experience in Rail, Shipping, Airline, Logistics, Warehousing, Supply Chain, or other Transportation industries. Able to work now and in the future without BNSF's assistance (whether monetary, through sponsorship, or otherwise) in obtaining, maintaining, or extending employment authorization (including H‑1B, STEM OPT/CPT, or TN non‑immigrant status).
