About

A Quantity Surveyor isrequired to join Ireland's leading multi-disciplinary Engineering and Construction company. This company offers industry leading services in civil engineering, transport infrastructure, structure steel & pipe fabrication, water and wastewater, power, natural resources and Construction & Property. The successful Quantity Surveyor will be working with the Natural Resources team on gas projects in Dublin. Role: To provide assistance to the Senior & Managing QS, and support on all commercial issues within the projects Encourage and develop a culture of commercial awareness within the team. Ensure the site team adheres to group procedures and governance Development, motivation & performance management of junior staff Preparation of internal commercial reporting and any other reports which may be required. Preparation of Valuations/Application for payment with full supporting documentation in accordance with the contract Preparation of Cost Reports to the Client with contractually compliant supporting documentation Undertake the contract administration, including change management and maintain associated registers. Identifying commercial risks, opportunities, value engineering and change Challenge & manage in cost control / cost mitigation Implement a WBS structure to satisfy the Client & Contract requirements. Assist with preparation of the Cost to Complete and Risk analysis Register for the projects(s). Helping to maximise the cash position, including WIP control, cash flow production & improvement plans. Requirements: Degree Qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics On route to being Chartered Quantity Surveyor (MSCI) or equivalent Full Driving Licence All roles are expected to have the relevant competency skills cards Commercially astute and excellend knowledge of standard forms of contract and standard methods of measurement Civil Engineering Works Gas Pipelines and AGI Installations (desirable) Solar Farm Installations (desirable) Estimating and takeoffs (desirable) Salary: Salary circa €65k - €75k DOE 27 days holiday, plus bank holidays with the option to buy an additional 2 days holiday each year, holidays increase with length of service Discretionary annual bonus and annual salary review Above market rate contributory pension scheme Life assurance, health screening and enhanced sick pay Generous Private Healthcare Allowance Enhanced maternity and paternity pay and a maternity returners bonus Extra 2 days holiday for all employees getting married and a wedding bonus Retail discounts, discounted gym memberships, cycle to work scheme etc If you are aQuantity Surveyorconsidering a career move, please feel free to send yourCV or contact Lisa Cullen on for a confidential discussion.GPC will not send any applicants CVs to clients without a full discussion and prior consent.
