About the Role CFGO is seeking a talented Accounting Manager to join our growing team servicing clients within life science / biotech. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the day‑to‑day financial operations of key clients, including managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. This position is remote based, however, candidates with proximity to Boston are preferred.
Responsibilities
Oversee the overall financial operations for key clients, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting
Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and budgets
Monitor cash flow and manage banking relationships
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including tax filings and financial reporting
Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals
Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting
Work closely with other departments to provide financial analysis and support for decision‑making
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration with an emphasis in Accounting or a related field
Experience within early‑stage biotech or medical device industry is preferred
8+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
Managerial experience is preferred but not required
Excellent computer skills; experience in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite; Access, database, or other system knowledge
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) license preferrable but not required
