We are hiring a Risk Engineer, Engineering Lines who will deliver advanced risk assessment solutions surrounding industrial construction and equipment for internal and external stakeholders (loss prevention, natural hazards, employee safety, facility maintenance, business continuation, etc.).
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough on-site risk inspections and operations reviews on behalf of internal/external stakeholders.
Provide advanced risk assessment of industrial equipment, construction and engineering projects for clients and business partners.
Deliver risk engineering consultation to our customers in the form of insurance risk surveys, risk improvement recommendations, loss mitigation proposals and specifications.
Formulate risk improvement recommendations to ensure suitable risk management practices and controls.
Manage account risk portfolio and provide account level engineering to meet underwriting requirements.
Create detailed risk assessment reports in a timely manner using proprietary tools and systems.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or related field.
4+ years of experience as a risk engineer. Knowledge of risk assessments (fires, explosions, business interruption and natural hazards).
Experience evaluating new industrial construction and equipment. Proven expertise in equipment and machinery certification procedures.
Team player, with strong business sense, communication skills and client service mindset.
Experience in account engineering or managing risk engineering service vendors preferred.
Ability to travel (up to 20%).
