Epic Application Analyst – Managed Services, Professional Billing. Department: Managed Services – Epic Application Support. Reports To: Managed Services Application Lead. Location: Remote and visually on teams (EST hours). Position Summary: The Epic Application Analyst provides advanced application support for Professional Billing as part of Optimum’s Managed Services program. This role focuses on complex incident resolution, build and configuration updates, application data integrity, documentation, and interface coordination. Analysts are expected to work independently on service requests, regulatory updates, and proactive maintenance tasks to ensure high system availability and client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
Resolve escalated Priority 3 and 4 incidents and interface issues related to Professional Billing Execute break/fix changes, system testing, and quality assurance testing Support application and interface maintenance, including updates, patches, and regulatory changes Manage service requests, backlog tickets, and reporting as defined in scope Collaborate with vendor support for issue resolution, updates, or enhancements Maintain and update documentation including user guides, build specs, and functional design Monitor and ensure application data quality and integrity Perform root cause analysis and identify trends in incident and request volume Provide knowledge transfer and mentorship to Tier 1 analysts Qualifications
Epic Professional Billing certification required 3-8 years of Epic application support experience in Professional Billing Demonstrated experience supporting application build, maintenance, and testing Working knowledge of clinical or operational Epic workflows Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills Experience collaborating with interface teams and vendors for issue resolution Understanding of HIPAA, security, and regulatory standards in healthcare Benefits
