Job Type: Full-Time Remote Time Zone: US Hours About the Role We are seeking a technically skilled Web Developer to provide ongoing support and development for a WordPress-based website and its connected digital platforms. This role focuses on maintaining site stability, resolving bugs, executing development initiatives that improve the user experience, and leading the integration of a new event networking application. The ideal candidate enjoys both troubleshooting and building intuitive, scalable web experiences. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders to enhance functionality, automate processes, and support the continued growth of a dynamic digital platform. Key Responsibilities
Application Development
Design, develop, test, and deploy WordPress features, enhancements, and integrations to support internal teams and external users Identify and resolve issues related to WordPress–HubSpot integrations Build custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch or modify existing solutions as needed Translate design mockups and discovery session deliverables into fully functional WordPress pages Research, recommend, and support the selection of an event networking application Lead customization, integration, testing, and deployment of the selected events platform Security and Compliance
Ensure website security best practices are followed Proactively recommend improvements to strengthen site security and data protection Maintenance and Support
Provide front-end and back-end technical support Perform website updates, API updates, and ongoing maintenance tasks Monitor and troubleshoot WordPress performance and application issues Ensure high availability, speed, performance, and overall user satisfaction Optimize site performance and ensure cross-browser and device compatibility Provide technical guidance and support to team members as needed Process Automation & Data Systems
Identify opportunities to reduce manual workflows through automation using scripts, APIs, or custom applications Develop streamlined systems for collecting, aggregating, and visualizing data from member surveys, directories, and related programs Continuous Improvement
Stay current on WordPress trends, tools, plugins, and best practices Proactively recommend enhancements to improve scalability, usability, and performance Documentation
Maintain clear and organized technical documentation for internal systems, integrations, and processes Collaboration
Partner with internal teams and leadership to gather requirements and deliver projects that improve the digital experience for both internal users and members Proven experience developing and maintaining WordPress websites Strong understanding of API integrations and third-party applications, particularly WordPress–HubSpot integrations Experience troubleshooting and resolving both front-end and back-end issues Familiarity with event or community platforms (e.g., Bizzabo, Hopin, Eventbrite, or similar) Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Java, HubL, and related web technologies Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
