The Performance Tester II is an experienced team member who is looking to continue to grow in their software testing career. The ideal candidate has demonstrated experience with evaluating software for performance needs, implementing performance test strategies, and writing performance test scripts. The candidate must be self-motivated with strong technical troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work independently and in collaboration with development teams. Responsibilities
Job Duties Include: The following reflects management’s definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign additional duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons: Design and develop a performance test suite based on the business processes and needs of the client Maintain performance test scripts in response to updates in software requirements Stay current with performance test tools and industry best practices Coordinate execution of test scripts and documentation of test results in test logs or defect tracking systems Evaluate functionality for performance feasibility Assist with the execution and writing of manual test cases as needed in support of the software Track and communicate project testing status to key stakeholders throughout the development process Ensure delivery of code and systems meet performance, operational readiness and other non-functional requirements Execute test cases/activities, analyze, report, track defects and report test execution metrics Periodically work evenings and weekends as required for project delivery, sometimes with little advance notice Qualifications
Skills/Qualifications:
The following skills are desired for this position: Experience writing and executing performance test scripts Proficiency in programming languages such as Java and Python Experience with SQL, XML Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Thorough understanding of the Agile development process Expertise with LoadRunner and Apache JMeter preferred Expertise with PeopleSoft Education and Experience: This position prefers a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent relevant business experience. Experience with government and DoD environments is preferred. 5+ years of relevant business experience. 2+ years of performance test experience. Clearance Requirements:
No Clearance Required. Must be eligible for a Secret security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen.
