We're looking for a
Technical Lead, Electrical Engineering Studies
who is passionate about arc flash analysis to join our dynamic and fast‑growing team. This individual will serve as the Engineering Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Arc Flash and Electrical Studies, working closely with the Sales team to support and expand our electrical studies capabilities. The role will play a critical part in delivering and scaling services including arc flash, short circuit, and coordination studies.
What You’ll Do:
Serve as the primary technical authority for electrical engineering solutions
Develop, review, and support engineering designs, specifications, and technical documentation
Provide technical guidance to internal teams during project execution, including issue resolution and root cause analysis
Participate in customer site visits to assess requirements, gather technical data, and support solution development
Collaborate cross‑functionally with engineering, service, sourcing, quality, and leadership teams
Identify and implement process improvements, contributing to internal standards and best practices
Develop and maintain SOPs, technical documentation, and training materials
Train engineering team members and provide technical training to sales teams on processes, tools, and capabilities
Lead technical presentations, workshops, and “lunch & learn” sessions for internal teams and customers
Support sales and business development through presentations, technical demonstrations, job walkthroughs, and defining technical requirements during contract discussions
Experience we’re looking for:
5+ years of experience in electrical power systems studies, with a strong focus on arc flash analysis
Proven experience performing short circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies in industrial or commercial environments
Experience with industry‑standard software such as ETAP, SKM, or EasyPower
Strong understanding of NFPA 70E, IEEE standards, and electrical safety practices
Experience supporting or working alongside sales teams in a technical capacity
Ability to train and mentor both engineering and sales personnel
Strong communication and presentation skills, especially in client‑facing technical discussions
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
Additional Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Able to work remotely with minimal supervision
Willingness to travel up to 15% across the continental U.S.
Valid driver’s license
Must successfully complete a background check and pre‑employment/random drug test
Able to lift 20+ lbs and navigate uneven surfaces and elevated work areas
Bonus Points for:
Experience supporting commissioning or field service teams directly
Familiarity with isolated‑phase bus duct systems or generation‑side interconnect design
Previous utility, data center, or renewable energy sector experience
NETA Level 2, 3, or 4 certification
PE licensure in one or more U.S. states
Formal coursework or certification in power system protection and coordination
