About
ManageEngine Consultant
to assess, optimize, and provide strategic guidance for an established ManageEngine environment. The consultant will evaluate current configurations, identify gaps, and deliver recommendations to help the client fully leverage ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus (SDP), Endpoint Central, and upcoming CMDB and Change Management capabilities.
This engagement begins with a focused assessment and may expand into follow-on implementation and optimization work based on findings and recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct a comprehensive review of the existing
ManageEngine deployment , which has been in place for several years.
Assess current usage and configuration of:
Endpoint Central
ServiceDesk Plus (SDP)
(currently partially optimized)
Planned
CMDB module
Change Management module
Evaluate workflows, ticketing structure, automation, SLAs, and reporting to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
Review and streamline complex onboarding workflows, including multi-ticket employee onboarding processes.
Identify gaps between current configuration and ManageEngine best practices.
Provide guidance on how to maximize the value and adoption of SDP and related modules.
Collaborate with client stakeholders to understand operational pain points and business goals.
Deliverables
High-level assessment report
outlining:
Current-state findings
Configuration gaps and risks
Optimization and remediation recommendations
Actionable roadmap
for improving ManageEngine usage and operational efficiency.
Level of Effort (LOE) estimate
for future services required to implement recommended improvements.
Executive-ready summary suitable for leadership review.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience implementing, administering, or consulting on
ManageEngine
platforms.
Strong hands‑on expertise with
ServiceDesk Plus (SDP)
and
Endpoint Central .
Experience configuring or optimizing
CMDB
and
Change Management
modules.
Deep understanding of ITSM processes (incident, problem, change, asset, and service management).
Experience assessing legacy or under‑optimized ManageEngine environments.
Ability to quickly evaluate complex workflows and recommend practical improvements.
Strong documentation, presentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience designing or simplifying employee onboarding/offboarding workflows.
Prior experience delivering assessment‑based consulting engagements.
Familiarity with ITIL‑aligned service management practices.
Experience estimating effort and building phased implementation roadmaps.
