Job Summary Morrison Healthcare is seeking a Retail Strategy & Optimization Manager to support the Marketing team and drive performance across our retail foodservice portfolio. This role focuses on developing, optimizing, and scaling retail strategies that improve consumer experience, enhance operational efficiency, and deliver measurable financial results in healthcare environments.
This position partners closely with Marketing, Operations, Finance, Culinary, and Field Leadership to ensure retail concepts, promotions, pricing, and programs are strategically aligned and consistently executed.
This position will support our West Coast Operations.
Key Responsibilities
Support Marketing leadership in developing and executing retail strategies aligned with brand and growth objectives
Analyze retail performance data including sales, margin, traffic, promotions, and product mix
Identify trends, gaps, and opportunities to optimize retail performance
Lead optimization initiatives related to retail concepts, menus, pricing, merchandising, and promotions
Support the development and rollout of retail programs, tools, and best practices
Collaborate with Operations to ensure strategies are practical, scalable, and executable
Measure program effectiveness and provide insights and recommendations to stakeholders
Support change management and consistent adoption of retail strategies across accounts
Stay current on retail, consumer, and foodservice trends, especially in healthcare settings
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Hospitality, Finance, or related field
5+ years of experience in retail strategy, marketing analytics, category management, or multi-unit foodservice
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
Experience partnering with marketing teams on strategy and execution
Ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
Strong communication and presentation skills
Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint; POS data experience preferred
Preferred Experience
Healthcare, hospitality, or retail foodservice experience
Background in performance optimization or program management
Experience supporting field teams and national brand execution
Must be open to heavy travel
Must live in California
Must have Compass Group marketing experience
