About

Business Development Manager Company Description FQE Power delivers commissioning, pre‑commissioning, and cleaning solutions to power, energy, and industrial clients. We work with owners, EPCs, and OEMs to de‑risk critical projects through services such as steam blows, chemical cleaning, and integrated commissioning management.
Our focus is on helping clients achieve safe, predictable start‑ups by improving readiness, quality, and schedule certainty across complex power and industrial assets.
Role Description We are hiring a Business Development Manager to drive growth in our target markets, expand strategic relationships, and position FQE Power early in the project lifecycle. This role is ideal for someone who understands complex B2B sales in the power/industrial space and can convert technical value, safety, quality, and risk mitigation into commercial results.
This role covers the Eastern Hemisphere and requires frequent international travel, including short‑notice trips (sometimes less than 72 hours) to countries across the Middle East, Europe/UK, and Asia (e.g., KSA, UAE, Oman, EU/Schengen, UK, Japan, South Korea).
Candidates must be legally able to travel internationally and to obtain visas/entry permits to these regions without undue difficulty.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and qualify new opportunities with power producers, EPCs, OEMs, and industrial clients
Map target accounts and projects (e.g., CCPP, I&C, refinery, LNG) and build focused capture plans
Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting through bid, negotiation, and award
Develop deal strategies that emphasize schedule certainty, risk reduction, and total value, not just price
Build and maintain senior‑level relationships with owners, EPCs, OEMs, and key partners
Represent FQE Power in client meetings, industry events, and technical workshops
Work with engineering, proposals, and operations to shape executable, profitable solutions
Lead preparation of proposals, commercial clarifications, and client presentations
Manage the sales pipeline in our CRM (leads, opportunities, forecasts, account activity)
Provide clear reporting on funnel health, win/loss insights, and revenue outlook
Track market trends, competitor offerings, and upcoming projects in our core geographies and feed insights into pricing and service development
Qualifications
Proven experience in business development or technical sales in a B2B environment
Experience in power, energy, industrial services, or EPC sectors (strong plus)
Demonstrated success winning complex, multi‑stakeholder deals with long sales cycles
Engineering or technical degree (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or similar) preferred
Experience working in international project environments is an advantage
Skills & Capabilities
Comfortable selling technically differentiated services (commissioning, pre‑commissioning, specialty cleaning or similar)
Strong negotiation skills with a track record of closing profitable contracts
Proficient with CRM platforms for pipeline management and reporting
Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to work with engineers, operations, procurement, and executives
Experience coordinating proposals and project handover with engineering and operations teams
Solid project management skills; able to manage multiple pursuits in parallel and meet deadlines
Seniority level Mid‑Senior level
Employment type Full‑time
Job function Business Development and Sales
Industry Oil and Gas
