$75-80/Hr Job Description Role Overview The purpose of this Salesforce Engineer role is to develop and maintain the internal Salesforce (CRM) solutions that power revenue-generating and operational functions. Key focus areas include technical design, development, and integration using tools like Apex and Lightning Components, and functionally partnering with Sales and Sales Operations teams to translate business requirements into actionable technical specifications. Responsibilities Technical Design, develop, and maintain Salesforce applications and solutions to meet business requirements. Implement customizations using Salesforce configuration and development tools, including Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Components. Ensure high-quality solutions by performing thorough testing and debugging. Design and maintain CI/CD workflows for Salesforce deployments using GitHub Actions and Salesforce CLI. Assist in the integration of Salesforce with other systems and applications, utilizing APIs and middleware. Provide ongoing support and maintenance for Salesforce applications, including troubleshooting and resolving issues. Stay up-to-date with Salesforce releases, features, and best practices to recommend improvements and innovations. Job Description Contribute to the development of internal documentation, including design specifications, user guides, and training materials. Functional Partner with Sales and Sales Operations teams to elicit, document, and prioritize business requirements, translating ambiguous asks into clear technical specs. Facilitate discovery sessions and working groups to surface the actual problem behind a feature request before committing to a solution. Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the end-to-end sales motion - from lead routing and qualification through opportunity management, forecasting, and close - to inform system design decisions. Understand the daily workflows of Account Executives, SDRs, and Sales Managers well enough to anticipate downstream impacts of any system change. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in Salesforce development, including hands-on experience with Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Components. Prior experience embedded within or closely supporting a B2B sales organization, with a demonstrated ability to translate vague business needs into actionable Salesforce solutions Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, design, and development best practices. Experience with Salesforce integrations and API technologies. Salesforce Platform Developer I certification is required; additional Salesforce certifications are a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
