About
Role Summary The Industrial Engineer is responsible for managing fulfillment and engineering projects related to new client launches, capital investments, and cost savings opportunities. The role requires strong engineering and project management skills and involves intermittent travel while supporting multiple projects at one or more fulfillment centers across North America.
Responsibilities
Manage and assist with new fulfillment center launches, support overall facility design, manage new system and equipment installations, and ensure safe and cost‑efficient procedures.
Develop and manage project plans and milestones for various fulfillment‑related projects such as client requests, capacity enhancements, automation testing, and hardware/software changes.
Assist with new client launches, support the design of storage and processing areas, develop new workflows and procedures, and procure equipment for required build‑out or construction.
Partner with MHE vendors and internal resources to obtain quotes, develop recommendations, prepare CapEx proposals for finance approval, and manage CapEx spending.
Work with the Warehouse Management team to develop optimal system design and configuration for the operations team.
Perform detailed analysis on new clients to compare productivity, accuracy, and overall performance to new client business models.
Assist with operational and financial forecasting, staffing, productivities, capital expenditures, justifications, and improvement analyses.
Perform statistical analysis and reporting on client profitability and overall contribution to Radial.
Design and modify layouts in AutoCAD for new business solutions and implementations.
Support the sales process by participating in pre‑signature activities, including joint planning sessions with the client to align operational/facility scope.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 3 years of fulfillment engineering and project management experience within a distribution/warehousing environment.
Proven experience managing large, complex, cross‑functional development and implementation programs across multiple project teams and organizational units.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Smartsheets.
AutoCAD proficiency required.
Experience with WMS and SQL is desired.
Experience with MOST modeling.
Experience with Lean Six Sigma and Kaizen is desired.
Experience standardizing work, building procedures, and improving performance on repeatable business processes.
Effective oral and written communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities.
Ability to multi‑task and prioritize tasks.
Strong business acumen, particularly in order fulfillment and/or distribution environments.
Attention to detail.
Travel
Remote position with approximately 50% regional travel by land and/or air.
