We are seeking a skilled
Security Engineer
with strong experience in
Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
and a focus on
Security Operations (SecOps) . This role supports client delivery in threat detection, response, and cloud security posture management, and may fulfill our
Google SecOps Technical Credential
requirements as part of our partnership. This is a remote contract project. What You Will Be Doing
Deploy and manage Google Chronicle and Security Command Center (SCC) Design and implement security controls across GCP environments Develop and fine-tune detection rules, alerts, and playbooks Work closely with engineering and infrastructure teams to enforce security best practices Support incident response, threat hunting, and vulnerability management Ensure compliance with industry standards and cloud security frameworks Contribute to customer-facing documentation and technical delivery What We Want To See
Google SecOps Technical Certification Credential / Google Security Operations Technical Certification Credential Required 3-5+ years of experience in cloud security or SecOps roles Strong knowledge of GCP security services: IAM, VPC Security, Cloud DLP, KMS, SCC Experience with SIEM/SOAR platforms, ideally Chronicle Solid understanding of detection engineering, incident response, and threat intel Strong communication and documentation skills Technologies Used in This Role
GCP: Chronicle, Security Command Center (SCC), Cloud Logging, IAM, KMS, DLP Security Tools: Chronicle SIEM, SOAR, CSPM tools Infrastructure as Code: Terraform (nice to have) Monitoring & Automation: Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Event Threat Detection Bonus Points
Experience working with public sector or regulated environments (e.g., FedRAMP, SLED) Familiarity with DevSecOps or CI/CD security practices Google Partner Portal credentials or prior experience on Google delivery teams Hands-on experience with threat detection engineering in cloud-native environments Familiarity with multi-cloud security (AWS/Azure in addition to GCP) Seniority level
