5+ years of large-scale web application software development experience. Professional experience developing distributed database-driven web-based applications with Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and other Spring technologies. Fluency building production-grade web applications using React, Vue, Angular, or Material UI. In-depth knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, NodeJS, and the tooling ecosystem (NPM, Yarn, Babel, Jest, Enzyme, Cypress) to the extent you can describe its limitations and tradeoffs. Fluency in utilizing REST/GraphQL APIs efficiently, influencing the shape of APIs where necessary. Working (basic) knowledge of Ruby and Ruby on Rails version 2.x is a plus. US healthcare IT experience especially regarding various healthcare terminology and technical standards (e.g., CCDA, FHIR, etc.) is a plus. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Must be able to deal with ambiguity, but seek clarification when appropriate. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Professional experience working in an Scrum development environment. Strong knowledge in computer architecture, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented software techniques. Ability to provide well-articulated and reasoned explanations for when and why to apply software design patterns. Ability to partner with product management to develop and refine requirements. Deep understanding of the tradeoffs between static generation, server-side rendering, and client-side rendering. Solid engineering fundamentals including a strong grasp of data structures, caching strategies, and asynchronous programming (promises, futures, callbacks).
