Position: Equipment Operator (Offshore Contractor) Location: Global Hours: Offshore Contractor
Responsibilities
Commission and operate equipment in a competent and professional manner, communicating effectively with the client and Operations Department at all times.
Ensure products are operated efficiently within the allocated scope of works and equipment operational limits.
Carry out all work in compliance with relevant HSEQ guidelines and company policies.
Support the manufacturing, sales, logistics and finance teams by operating equipment based on project requirements.
Adopt and promote the Motive Offshore Group People Values throughout client interactions.
Build rapport with the client and stakeholders; act as a positive ambassador for Motive Offshore Group.
Lead by example in setting the highest possible standards in People Values, HSEQ procedures and best practice.
Immediately report all accidents, incidents, near misses or environmental concerns.
Participate in company‑wide sustainability policies, procedures and initiatives to support Net Zero objectives.
Attend project briefings, client inductions/HIRAs, FATs and other training as required.
Ensure equipment is prepared and ready on time to meet client or company requirements.
Stock‑take equipment on arrival, communicate anomalies or damage, and commission equipment at the worksite.
Operate equipment per client instructions, completing daily checks and paperwork accurately.
Complete required onsite paperwork, such as post‑installation checks and maintenance records.
Submit weekly personnel timesheet in full with accurate times and descriptions.
Demobilise equipment at the worksite, prepare for shipping and complete necessary cargo manifests.
Seek assistance to troubleshoot equipment breakdowns, investigate issues and rectify problems.
Hand in project paperwork and expenses in a timely manner post‑project.
Engage in any other reasonable activity as requested by Lead Equipment Operators or Management.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Offshore certification including medical (OGUK/OEUK/ENG1) and Survival (BOSIET).
Mechanical / Engineering trade experience.
Knowledge of hydraulics.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills.
Ability to prioritise tasks and complete work to a high standard.
