What You'll Do
Lead the development of substantial features and improvements, alongside critical fixes and library upgrades.
Ensure the reliability and quality of our codebase by writing comprehensive unit tests.
Proactively identify and implement architectural improvements to enhance maintainability and testability.
Champion coding best practices, setting a high standard for quality and efficiency within the team.
Mentor and guide junior engineers, sharing your expertise in processes, codebase navigation, and best practices.
Conduct thorough and constructive code reviews, ensuring high‑quality, performant, and secure solutions.
Actively engage in the agile development lifecycle, from design reviews and planning to retrospectives, committing to deliverables and swiftly resolving impediments.
Architect and document technical designs, ensuring clarity and alignment across the engineering team.
Contribute to cross‑team discussions, influencing architectural decisions and process enhancements.
Implement seamless integrations with third‑party services and various application components.
Collaborate closely with peers to prioritize work effectively and align efforts with overarching strategic goals.
Demonstrate exceptional adaptability, managing interruptions gracefully while supporting team objectives.
Stay at the forefront of technological advancements, continuously integrating new knowledge into our practices.
Participate in the interview process, helping to build and grow our talented engineering team.
What You'll Bring
7+ years of professional experience in the development of web applications.
A deep understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms.
Expert‑level proficiency in Python.
Strong proficiency with JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
Good working knowledge of database systems, specifically MongoDB or SQL.
Proficiency with Git for version control.
Proficiency with Docker for containerization.
Excellent problem‑solving, troubleshooting, and debugging capabilities.
Exceptional design and organizational skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with proven experience working effectively across cross‑functional teams.
The ability to work independently and effectively in a remote environment, requiring minimal direction.
A commitment to continual improvement and self‑learning.
Even Better If You Have
Experience with Kubernetes.
Experience with AWS.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
