divh2Certified Medication Aide/h2pThe primary function of a Certified Medication Aide is responsible for the accurate and timely medication distribution (known as a med pass) for designated residents. The employee must be able to perform the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations. Except as specifically noted, the following functions are considered essential to this position. The employee must have good English reading skills and comprehension, a working knowledge of basic keyboarding. Excellent time management and customer service skills are a must./ppShift: 7:00pm - 11:pm/ppReports To: Charge Nurse/ppEssential Job Functions:/pulliPasses medications and gives treatments according to physicians orders and in accordance with facility process./liliMay be required to give shift report on perceived condition of residents./liliMay be required to document in the resident records in Point Click Care./liliResponsible for notifying charge nurse of medications needing to be refilled./liliAssures personal and staff compliance to residents rights./liliResponsible for maintaining a clean and organized medication cart and medication room./liliMay be required to assist residents with personal hygiene tasks, and other activities of daily living./liliMay be required to assist with activities./liliMay be required to perform duties as set forth on Certified Nurse Aide job description as needed./liliMonitors personal and staff compliance to all State and federal requirements including but not limited to blood borne pathogens, hazardous materials, infection control, and fire safety./liliMonitors personal and staff compliance to residents rights./liliCMA may NOT provide residents: IV injections or scheduled I or II narcotics./liliMay be subjected to random drug tests during the course of employment/liliMay be required to work in roles that do not require Medication Technician certification as deemed necessary by Facility (e.g. STNA)./li/ul/div
