Our client seeks a "hands-on" Production Support Engineer to support a number of its existing manufacturing cells.
The successful applicant will have a strong technical background and a minimum of 2 years' experience in a medium/high-volume mechanical/ manufacturing environments.
The key aspects of the role are: Support manufacturing processes and provide process improvements to existing products To define and validate the manufacturing process for upgrade of products or new products Support mechanical/electrical assembly jigs, fixtures and purpose-built test equipment Process analysis and product quality reporting To work closely with other Engineers and Production Staff to drive quality standards and improvements To work closely with Product Designers to ensure the product is designed for assembly Interested applicants should have: Educated to at least degree level in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent Minimum 2 years experience in a mid/high-volume manufacturing environment Experience in use of structured problem-solving techniques Good can do attitude and ability to work well in a team Hands-on ability Although not essential, it is desirable if applicants have the following: Experience with practical application of Six Sigma tools, including though not exclusive to using Statistical Process Control, Gauge Studies & Process Capability Experience in use of Excel xyswxtq and related business intelligence tools for data analysis Experience in practical application of Industry 4.0 real time data analytics, including though not exclusive to using Power BI, SQL and VBA/Excel Experience in practical application of Lean Projects Experience in design, validation & implementation of assembly fixtures Experience using and interpreting technical drawings including GD&Ts Skills: process engineer manufacturing engineer production engineer
