- Hybrid (3 weeks remote, 1 full week onsite) My client is seeking a Systems Engineer to join its Data Protection & Analytics team within the Cyber Security function.
This team is responsible for monitoring and securing activity across critical database platforms.
The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining database monitoring solutions across a global environment.
Requirements: Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g.
Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB, MySQL, Cassandra, cloud-managed databases) Strong understanding of database security principles and best practices Experience with database security tools (e.g.
IBM Guardium or similar) is an advantage Background in systems engineering, administration, or software engineering with strong troubleshooting skills Experience implementing and managing security controls across systems and networks Scripting knowledge (e.g. xyswxtq
Python, Perl) preferred Exposure to DevOps, automation, and CI/CD pipelines (e.g.
Jenkins) beneficial Cloud experience (AWS or Azure) is a plus Strong Linux and Windows support knowledge Understanding of security and compliance standards (e.g.
