About

Central Supply Clerk Performs duties involved in stocking supplies and equipment and makes deliveries to users as directed. Assists with inventories and enters charges to the General Ledger. OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Class III Job Qualifications
Education: High School graduate or equivalent. Personal Job-Related Skills: None required. Licensure, Registry or Certification: None required. Experience: Prior Work Experience: Entry Level position. Technical Training: None required. Physical and Mental Requirements: Duties of the position require extended periods of standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, and carrying supplies and equipment. Requires the ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Receives and stocks supplies
Helps check supplies received against purchase documents or invoices Places supplies in proper storage area in the stock room
Delivers supplies to departments
Delivers supplies received direct to departments if stock levels are not maintained in the stock room Fills orders for supplies from the stock room and delivers them to the requesting departments.
Assists in inventory control
Assists in checking supply inventory levels Assists in conducting inventories
Stocks supplies
Places supplies received into the supply stock. Brings low inventory levels to the supervisor's attention. Keeps stock room clean and orderly.
Performs duties in administering charges
Puts out new charge cards once a week. Does end of month issues and enters charges to the general ledger.
Other Significant Requirements
Maintains confidentiality while working with confidential matters on a daily basis. Interacts with other department personnel on a continuous basis. Follows safety guidelines and policies for the Hospital District.
