Position Summary The California Regional Sales Manager, OTS – Fracture is accountable for maximizing sales results by leading, coordinating, and overseeing their sales team within a defined geography. The incumbent establishes and conveys a vision for the area that is aligned with the overall organization, sets, communicates, and monitors the progress of a fully integrated business plan that actively addresses local market dynamics and drivers, anticipates and overcomes obstacles, and ensures fair and equitable application of staff policies and procedures. The RSM collaborates with the RVP and internal stakeholders to evaluate customer‑facing operating systems, asset deployment, and field training in preparation for current and future changes in the Health Care Market.
Duties and Responsibilities Strategic Area Management
Develops and communicates a strategic vision for the territory. Establishes an aligned area business plan and fosters the development of local and regional account‑specific business plans.
Develops a strategic territory business plan that creates solutions, strategies, and tactical plans to address local market conditions and customer goals, while achieving company targets. Adjusts strategy in advance of, and in response to, market shifts and competitive trends to capitalize on local market potentials and address customer needs.
Devises, tracks, and shares business metrics to enhance productivity and improve performance. Determines and applies appropriate business metrics to identify the leading indicators of performance in the territory. Communicates best practices up, down, and across the organization.
Demonstrates and reinforces discipline and commitment while clearly communicating expectations. Holds team members and partners accountable to achieve goals, while working within compliance and company guidelines.
Regularly evaluates strategy, resource allocation and utilization, profitability, business results, and customer goal attainment to maximize outcomes. Takes action to correct and refine processes when targets are not achieved or when additional opportunities arise.
Is relentless in the personal and team’s adherence to company and industry compliance policies.
Essential Skills, Experience, and Qualifications
Related medical experience calling on both physician offices and hospitals is a plus.
Demonstrated success in selling through the managed health care or third‑party payer environment is a plus.
An above‑average level of intelligence with a bachelor's degree preferred, an ability to articulate effectively, show poise, depth of thought, and good judgment in decision making.
Ability to present to individuals and larger groups.
Exceptional level of technical competence with regard to product knowledge and surgical procedures is a plus.
Ability to advise management on policy and procedure issues.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Daily oversight of Associate Territory Managers, Territory Managers and Distributorships.
Physical Demands and Work Conditions
Must be able to lift and transport products and literature to customer sites repetitively throughout each day.
Lifting capacity approximately 20–30 pounds.
Travel required within territory by plane, car, etc. about 90%. If traveling by car, a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance is required.
The anticipated salary for this position is $100,000.00 per year, plus commissions based on performance and benefits.
